and here's the almost final product. i used some bare lauterwasser bars, no tape, no toe clips - trying to keep this one minimal. installed the front top tube brake cable clip and am right now building a campy hi-flange/polished rigida rim wheelset - amusing when i took the hubset apart to find a "73" date on the locknut, same as the frame! thanks to Bob Freitas for hooking me up with it! maiden voyage was last sunday & tomorrow late morn will do the same ride from natural bridges to capitola & back, about 20 miles. there will be a stop at Aldo's for calimari and fresh fish. please join us if you can... http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericm/6270686723/sizes/l/in/set-72157627955313108/

Bob found this 62cm 1973 Eisentraut A model languishing at Ed Litton's and thought I might be able to use it. I'm thinkin'... It's half way through the build up now with Campy Nuovo Record gruppo. Can't wait for the test ride, thanks Bob!

9.24.11 CR ride

we like pink bikes...

Marc called the 2011 "end of summer" ride from The Los Altos chamber of commerce to the Stevens Creek reservoir and up Stevens Canyon to the "bike gate". Very nice ride with perfect weather and a great turnout. Lunch was at Tom's Hamburgers in Los Altos.
